Neogen Analytics 1.13.0

Release Date: May 7, 2025

What's New?

The 1.13.0 release for Neogen Analytics contains the following improvements and bug fixes, including updates for reopening corrective actions, non-routine test point creation, and improved translations and data visibility throughout the application.

Improvements

  • Enhanced the process for entering partial results in a sample analysis so that you can record and view results for each sample without repeating steps.
  • Added a notes field to sample analyses that have been partially collected.
  • Updated the edit and template sample analysis pages so you can easily view added data.
  • Updated the corrective action details page to include an expand all function, the status of an active retest, and an indicator for which retest caused a reset of the protocol.
  • Added the ability to reopen a truncated corrective action on the ‘History’ or ‘For Review’ tabs, restoring all corresponding activities, retests, and actions. Reopened corrective actions are automatically moved to the ‘Open’ tab.

Note:

  • Only corrective actions that were truncated using the 'Stop Corrective Action' button can be reopened.
  • Truncated corrective actions cannot be reopened more than 120 days after the truncated date or if the initial test results were changed or deleted.
  • Updated the audit log to ensure tracking for truncated corrective actions occurs only after they are reopened, keeping the history of the corrective action intact.
  • Added the ability to choose which corrective action to reopen if there are duplicates. A tooltip notification displays when a corrective action cannot be reopened due to an existing duplicate corrective action in an open status.
  • Added the ability to add a program during non-routine test point creation, ensuring the test point is associated with the correct program at the beginning of the process. The selected program is automatically saved after naming the test point.
  • Added the program to the non-routine test point table and any applicable exports.
  • Added the ability to view, edit, and auto-generate sample numbers for a sample analysis.
  • Enhanced the product testing sample analysis process by grouping policies in the drop-down menu by sample type (Chemical or Microbiological).
  • Added sample as a unit option when creating microbiological test methods.
  • Added a check box for easy filtering of retest sample analyses in the sample analysis list.
  • Updated the sample analysis to automatically reflect when a result is deleted on the test point page.
  • Added a rule to sample analyses, test points, and floor plans to ensure collection and test result dates cannot be older than 10 years from the current date.
  • Disabled fields for samples with test results already entered on the bulk add test result form and ensured bulk results can still be entered in one motion.
  • Updated the analysis type drop-down list to only display options for samples that still require test results, providing clarity for which still need to be completed.
  • Added Brazilian Portuguese as a separate language option and improved German translations.
  • Added a ‘Back to Settings’ button in the general settings.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where changes to the name, language, and role were not immediately reflected.
  • Fixed an issue when attempting to update a non-routine test point to a duplicate name where no error message was shown.
  • Ensured floor plans and locations from deactivated sites no longer display in the drop-down list.
  • Fixed an issue so the next sample retest does not generate after collecting the sample in the first sample analysis when the corrective action is truncated.
  • Fixed an issue where the selected Received Date did not display.
  • Ensured the log entries for updated test results display the result change, date, user, and action details.
  • Ensured the status for an updated inactive policy remains unchanged unless the status toggle is clicked.
  • Fixed an issue where the date was automatically set to +1 day due to a time zone mismatch between the site and machine. The correct date is now selected based on the site's time zone when adding a test result, ensuring consistency across different time zones.
  • Fixed an issue where results were not visible in the sample analysis after being uploaded despite the audit log indicating the results were received.
  • Fixed an issue where the calendar on the floor plan page was not translating to the selected language.
  • Ensured the calendar starts on Sunday in the Spanish translation and that the dates correctly match the days of the week.
  • Updated the program name to no longer display for a protocol in the ‘List of CA Protocols’ when the program is deleted. The deleted program will also be excluded from the protocol selection for corrective actions.
  • Fixed an issue where updates to the date and status of a sample analysis retest were not saved.
  • Fixed an issue where retest results were not displaying in the Protocol History table and the status remained ‘Collected’ instead of showing the appropriate result.
  • Updated the non-routine test point description to correctly display in the export file.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the eye icon opened the log in page instead of the company details.
  • Updated the audit log dates to correctly sort from earliest to oldest (and vice versa) when clicked.
  • Fixed an issue where a blank page was displaying after signing in.
  • Fixed an issue where deleted retest sample analyses were not displayed in the corrective details.
  • Fixed an issue where users submitting a new item on the test point page received a duplicate item error.
  • Fixed an issue in product testing where updating test results would incorrectly remove previously set notation and test count data.
  • Fixed an issue where completed sample analyses could not be deleted due to a blocking error message.
  • Fixed an issue where the calendar on the Add Test Results form became unresponsive after closing and reopening, preventing the user from selecting a date until the page was refreshed.
  • Fixed an issue where test point statistics were not updated when a result was modified.
